Anika noni rose is an American actor and singer. Her most well-known character is Tiana The first Disney African American princess. She was honored as one of the Disney Legend. Rose was in the role of Lorrell Robertson in Dreamgirls and was awarded the Academy Award. Anika Noni (born June 6 7th, 1972) is a vocalist and American actress. The most famous of her roles was her character Tiana Ariel, the princess of Disney. She is one of the very first African American Princess in The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney named her a legend in the year 2011. The same year, she was recognized for her performance on the screen in Dreamgirls (2006), which was awarded an Academy Award for Best Picture. In the Starz show Power she played the role of LaVerne Jukebox Ganner. The stage performances she has performed are also well-known, including her roles in the role of Emmie Thbodeaux from the Broadway production of the musical Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Featured actress in an Musical. The show also received her nomination to win an award for the Tony Award Best Featured actor in a play for the Broadway revival A Raisin in the Sun.
